Detailed Description

An element that solves the Kirchhoff-Love shell theory equations using Hermite interpolation (displacements and slopes are interpolated separately. The local and global (Lagrangian) coordinates are assumed to be aligned so that the Jacobian of the mapping between these coordinates is diagonal. This significantly simplifies (and speeds up) the computation of the derivatives of the shape functions.
